RESEARCH PROJECTS COMPLETED:

             The following major and minor projects have been completed by the Department in last decade:

(i)                 A Bibliography of ya-Śāstra (Revised and up dated)

(ii)               A Bibliography of Alakāra-Śāstra (Published)

(iii)             Computational data and analysis of Sūktis in Sanskrit Kāvyas (Published)

(iv)             Computational data and analysis Kāvyaprakāśa of Mammaa.

(v)               Computational data of ya-Śāstra (Chapters I – XXXVI)

(vi)             Bibliography of Modern Sanskrit Writings (Published)

(vii)           Sāhitya-śāstra-Bhatkośa,  a major research project of UGC (completed and Report submitted)    

(viii)         Sanskrit Drama and Folk Theatre.

(ix)             Reflections on Kāraka – theory, a minor research project (completed and report submitted).

(x)               Vyutpattivāda : A Critical Study, a major research project of UGC (completed

RESEARCH PROJECTS IN PROGRESS:

(i)                 Sanskrit Theatre in Twentieth Century.

(ii)               Sanskrit Literature, Arts and Cultural Traditions of Southeast Asia in cross-cultural  Perspective. (one monograph in Sanskrit on History and culture of Thailand has been published by Prof. R.V.Tripathi in 2005 as a part of this project).

(iii)             An unpublished commentary Vivekārtha-Prakāśikā on Ātmatattvaviveka is available in manuscript form and taken up for critically editing with Introduction by Dr. A. Dash.

(iv)             Thai – Sanskrit Dictionary by Prof. R.V.Tripathi

(v)               Translation and Devanāgarī transcription of Ramkien Bot Lakhon by King Ram – I (1782 – 1809). The project has been taken up by Prof. R.V.Tripathi.

(vi).      Encyclopaedia of Modern Sanskrit Writings – as per recommendations of the Advisory Committee for DRS in the department, a proposal for this major research project has been submitted to the UGC for separate funding. Preparations are in progress for starting the project and the work will come in full swing as soon as UGC sanctions this project.

(vii)      An unpublished manuscript in Śāradā script entitled "Nyāyakalikā" by Jayanta Bhaṭṭa, the famous author of "Nyāya-Mañjari" is available and taken up for critically editing with Introduction by Dr. A. Dash.
