COLLABORATION PROGRAMME WITH

Rastriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetham (Deemed University), Tirupati

            One of the major achievements under the activities of DRS scheme in our Department is entering into the collaborative research programme with Rastriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetham (Deemed University), Tirupati, a Centre for Excellence recognized by UGC. The MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) was signed on 9th January, 2003 by the Hon. Vice Chancellors of both the Universities. Prof. Santosh Kumar, Vice Chancellors of Dr. H.S.Gour University, Sagar and Prof. Prahlada Char, Vice Chancellors of Rastriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetham (Deemed University), Tirupati; and their academic representatives, viz. Dr. Achyutananda Dash of Sanskrit Department, Sagar University and Prof. K.V.Ramakrishna-macharyulu of Tirupati Vidyapeetha signed on the MoU. Entering into collaborative programme will help the scheme for the preparation of CDs or / and presenting Nāya-Śāstra in Hypertext format; which is one of the major goals of the SAP programme to our Department.

COLLABORATION WITH EMRC

The department as been producing educational films in collabration with the Educational Media Research Centre (EMRC) of Dr. H.S.Gour University, Sagar. A film on Sanskrit and Computer produced earlier won appreciation all over the country and was teleacast on Gyandarshan Channel of DD (Door Darshan ) a number of times.

During 2005-6- The following programmes have been prepared in collboration with the EMRC by Prof. Radhavallabh Tripathi –

(1)   Bhāratīya Kāvya Paramparā men Chhanda - Programme on Sanskrit Prosody in 6 episodes. The episodes have been accepted for telecasting on the Gyandarshan Channel of Door Darshan.

(2)   Bhāratīya Kāvya Paramparā men Alakāra - Programme on Aesthetics and the concept of Alakāra in Sanskrit Poetics in 11 episodes. This  programme has also been accepted for telecasting on the Gyandarshan Channel of Door Darshan.

(3)   Veda Aur Vaidik Vāmaya- This programme has been completed in 11 episodes. Acceptance from CEC, on the Gyandarshan Channel of Door Darshan is awaited.

All these programmes have been prepared in Hindi medium. A programme of 36 episodes on Nāyāśāstra (Ancient Indian Theatre) is in planning under the direction of Prof. Radhavallabh Tripathi at EMRC.
